Architectural Plantation Shutters was founded in Palm City in 1991. Today we operate from our manufacturing facility and showroom at 3475 SW Palm City School Avenue — building real-wood plantation shutters for Martin County homes from a single shop, exactly the way we have for over three decades.
If you live in Martin County and you have plantation shutters in your home, there's a real chance they came from our shop — or were installed by someone we trained. The same hands that mill the lumber are the hands that show up at your front door.
We don't have to drive an hour to get to you. We don't subcontract because we don't need to. This is a real shop, with real craftsmen, building real shutters — for the homes of the people we see at the grocery store.
We sponsor youth teams at Palm City Elementary, Bessey Creek, and Hidden Oaks Middle School. We're members in good standing of the Palm City Chamber of Commerce. Our work has been featured in STROLL Magazine's Sewall's Point and Stuart editions. We're A+ rated with the BBB and the only plantation shutter company in Florida accredited by the Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI).
Most of our work, though, comes from referrals — neighbor to neighbor. The rest comes from people who finally got tired of cheap vinyl shutters cracking in the Florida sun.
