Arched Window and Slider Shutters in Egret Landing, Jupiter, FL
Client Requirements
A Jupiter homeowner in Egret Landing wanted plantation shutters throughout the home, including windows with arched tops and wide sliding glass doors. AP Shutters installed the shutters in March 2024.
- Cover the living room and patio sliding glass doors
- Fit shutters below arched-top windows and leave the arched glass open
- Cover a breakfast-nook window and door, a wide game-room window and the bedroom windows
What We Did?
Shutters below the arch, bypass panels on the sliders
On the arched-top windows, the shutters sit below the arch and the arched glass is left open, so the shape of the window stays visible. For the sliding glass doors we built bypass panels: a wide layout across the living room door and a two-panel layout on the patio slider. The order also included shutters for a breakfast-nook window and door, a wide four-panel window in the game room, and the bedroom windows.
Planning notes for arched windows and sliders
- Decide before ordering whether the arch stays open above a rectangular shutter or gets its own custom arched shutter.
- Bypass panels need clear track and handle space, so measure the door before choosing a layout.
- Typical lead time is 2–3 weeks.
